Christine Chester

I am a teacher working out of Studio 11, a specialist textile studio in the centre of Eastbourne. I love to create my own fabrics to work with using dyeing and printing processes which I then share with my students. I have taught C & G courses to L3 Diploma level and worked for several years with C&G as a verifier for Creative Craft courses.
I love to stitch and I have been lucky enough to win several prizes over the years. In recent years my work has concentrated on a series of pieces relating to my father's dementia and many of these have been accepted into major quilt competitions.
2015 was a major year for me, with a gallery at Festival of Quilts, a distinction in my Masters degree, and at the end of the year I was very honoured to become the newest member of Quilt Art, which has such a long and outstanding history within first, The Guild, and then later, the wider art quilt community.
